Whew…. it has already been a busy week. I know that tomorrow I will be way too busy creating a traditional Thanksgiving dinner for family to get on and BLOG away so I am getting my writing done a little early.
Here is what am I thankful for:
I am so very thankful for my family (Tom and the kids) and our extended family, too. We have gotten together at Thanksgiving or Christmas almost every year since we all started having kids 18 years ago. The family group has grown to 30 people now and each year seems to be better than the year before – we have so much fun together.
I am thankful for God’s Blessing of health.
I am thankful for all of you. Our great customers and friends. We truly appreciate each and every one of you.
Extending the prayer from our family to yours that you will have a blessed and wonderful Thanksgiving Day.
God Bless!

Hi Leanne,
I just happened to stumble upon your blog about eye pain & candida and was wondering if you could give me some advice/guidance. My story is long, but to sum it up – I have pain that feels like sinusitis but is mainly around my eyes and behind them. It’s terrible and has gotten worse the last few months. I also have almost all of the other candida symptoms, have been on massive amounts of antibiotics, etc.
I started the candida diet and oregano oil and I’ve been very sick. I’m assuming it’s die-off, but I was just wondering if you could tell me if your eye pain worsened at all before it got better. I read that you said once the toxins die, the pain decreases, but I know that with die-off the toxins are released into your blood so I guess it would make sense for it to get worse first? Have you experienced that or met anyone who went through something similar?
To be honest, this eye pain is really scaring me and I would love to be more hopeful that it’ll pass soon! Thank you so much!
Hi there… Eye pain can come from a number of things. It really sounds to me like yours is from sinus congestion. The process of killing candida may make this worse in the long run as candida elimination tends to make the sinuses drain which increases the pressure you are feeling.
1. It is very helpful to take a fiber to make sure that your bowels are working efficiently; the sinuses appear to be connected to the bowel, so the sinuses are less congested when the bowel is working well. Eye pain is also sometimes associated with high levels of toxin in the body, taking a soluble fiber will help to reduce the toxins and take additional pressure off of the eyes.
2. I would eliminate any dairy products you may be eating as they create a lot of mucous in the system. You are probably already doing this since you are on the anti-candida diet, but I thought I would mention it.
3. You may want to try a silver solution to be used with a nasal atomizer. This combination will help to eliminate any fungal or bacterial infections that are actually residing in the sinuses. We have a great silver solution (Silver Shield) and nasal atomizer at: http://www.stopyeast.com
Thanks for the comment!
