The short answer is…. IODINE! Iodine is a very important element and not one that people in North America get a lot of since it is found in seaweed and kelp. Iodine deficiency can manifest as dryness in the mouth/eyes/skin. It can also be related to a decreased ability to sweat, fibrocystic breast tissue, thyroid problems, PCOS, low stomach acid, insulin resistance and even heart arrhythmias. More...

Really, do you have any trouble sweating??? I sure did! In fact, I was rather proud of the fact that I couldn’t sweat (it was certainly convenient) – I thought it might have been a genetic fluke.
The ability to sweat is extremely important for detoxifiction, but there is more to it than just that. I also had hormonal imbalances, dry skin and some other problems. Come back tomorrow...
