Athlete’s Foot treatment

Wednesday, July 18th, 2007

Candida will often appear in different ways on the skin.  Some people experience itchy rashes, some red (literally flaming red) smooth rashes, some will see itchy raised white bumps, but some will see athlete’s foot.  Athlete’s foot is where the skin between the toes starts to peel and break down; this is a fungal infection of the foot. Getting rid of the candida in the gut will help this to some degree, but it never hurts to treat athlete’s foot topically.  This procedure has worked for me.  Twice daily, rub coconut oil into the affected areas and then sprinkle medicated gold bond powder over the area once the coconut oil has soaked in.  The coconut oil is healing, soothing and antifungal and the powder helps to keep the foot dry.  Continue the treatment until the area is healed!

Have a great day!

Pink Eye Cure

Saturday, July 14th, 2007

just a quick note… if you have pink eye, you don’t need antibiotic drops from the doctor (unless you really want them). If your eyes are red, watering, and itching or burning just take come colloidal silver and place 1 drop in your eye 2-3 time daily.  If you wear contact, don’t wear them while you have an infection.  I just got an eye infection of some kind (eye lids were swollen, the eye was hot, red, itching all over.  4 doses of colloidal silver later and the itching, burning and redness is gone.  The swollen eyelid is about 90% improved.

Just thought I would let you know an inexpensive and quick treatment for pink eye!

Candida Diet

Friday, July 13th, 2007

The candida diet is a very retrictive diet.  The purpose of this diet is to starve the yeast organisms by not giving them the food that they need to survive.  There are some drawbacks with this diet: 1. It is not nutritionally sound and you are in danger of becoming deficient if you are on it for a long time. Please take nutritional supplements (multivitamin and extra magnesium/calcium) if you are going to try this method. 2. It takes a very Lonoooonnnnnnggggg time. You should be on the anti-candida diet for 1 month for every year that you have had candida.  Some of us have had candida for over 30 years; 30 months of this diet would be really tough to do.  3. You must use herbals in conjunction with the diet; the diet alone will not kill the candida.  Also, with herbals, the candida can get used to them so you need to rotate the herbals every 3 months or so.

I prefer the use of products like ThreeLac and Candex that are not so dependent on such a strict diet to see positive, tangible results.  However, if you want to give it a go, here is an outline of the anti-candida diet.

Candida Diet and ThreeLac/FiveLac and Candex

Tuesday, July 10th, 2007

I don’t believe that following the anticandida diet is as important now as it was five or more years ago.  Technology and new advancements in dietary supplements have gotten us to a point where the dreaded candida diet is not as necessary as it once was.  I do agree that people struggling with candida must control their sugar and alcohol consumption; there is certainly no point in throwing gasoline on the fire.  But the extremes of not eating mushrooms, vinegar, and all grains may be a thing of the past.

Two products in particular stand out as not being as dependent on the anti-candida diet and these are FiveLac/ThreeLac and Candex.  The Candex attacks the candida on a physical plane and so is not aware of diet at all. The FiveLac/ThreeLac also does not appear to be as dependent on being faithful to the diet as herbal remedies are.  Combining Candex and ThreeLac or FiveLac appears to be an unbeatable combination!

Granted, if you choose to pursue the diet while on these products you will probably speed the process up a bit; however, at some point you will need add those foods (and there are a lot of them) back into your diet.

You can find the best prices on Candex and ThreeLac at www.stopyeast.com/order-page.html.

Rapid Weight Loss (even if you have Candida)

Saturday, July 7th, 2007

Okay, so this is a bit off the beaten track.  But, many of us with candida, have a tremendous problem losing weight.  Other factors may also hinder weightloss; diabetes is one, and the one I have run into most recently is called PCOS.  PCOS (PolyCystic Ovarian Syndrome) is a condition related to insulin resistance.  PCOS can greatly increase the amount of estrogen in the system which makes it EXTREMELY difficult to lose weight.  Lucky me… I was just diagnosed with this.  Fortunately, I caught it fairly early in the process and had only gained an extra 60 pounds (ouch).  I am bound and determined to lose this weight! the complicating factor? Knee surgery - I just had major work done to my right knee in March-07, so no heavy working out.  I needed a plan that would allow me to see tangible results (i.e. quick weight loss) without requiring a ton of working out. And…I happened to run into a diet program called Kimkins.

I admit, I was somewhat skeptical. Nothing had worked for me in the past, all I had managed to do was to slow down the rate of gain.  The plan is essentally low-carb, low fat (good for those tackling an anticandida diet).  I woke up after the first day and tentatively stepped on the scale.  I got off and back on again (three times) just to make sure my eyes weren’t playing tricks on me.  I had lost 4.5 pounds!!! Hooray… I couldn’t believe it, but I thought for sure I will be back where I was tomorrow.  The second day I lost even more; by the end of the first week I had lost 11 pounds.  Wow!  It has now been 4 weeks exactly.  Today I have lost a total of 23.6 pounds and still going strong.  I have lost 18.5 inches off my body and all of my clothes are getting baggy.  The support forums at Kimkins are absolutely awesome. If you need to lose weight for health purposes or just to feel better about yourself, you should take a look at Kimkins.
